Queenstown in Otago is a great resort town located on Lake Wakatipu. The town sits at the base of the southern Alps so there are many possible launch sites. There are plenty of other extreme sports that can be tried too. The views of the unspoilt countryside are best appreciated from the air though.
The town of Danyang in South Korea may not be the most obvious destination for paragliders but it is becoming extremely popular. It is just a couple of hours’ drive from the capital city of Seoul and is very much a tourist town.
